TEACHING PHILOSPHY

I believe that if you have a passion for music and desire to play an instrument, the rest is teachable. I want my students to play their instruments with joy, knowledge, confidence and passion. I want to know what each of my student’s music goals are and what they hope to accomplish in lessons. Once I know these goals, I can help to develop and further my students technically, intellectually and musically. My goal is to empower each student to achieve their highest potential as a violinist. When in lessons, the students will receive my undivided attention and energy. I believe that efficient and effective practice of the violin can be mastered and performance can be something that is exciting. Focused practice is the best kind of practice and outweighs mindless practice. Learning how to achieve focused practice and attaining a strong foundational technique is extremely essential and concepts that I place a lot of emphasis on.
